Powellhurst Elementary

Project Location: Portland OR
Project Description: Heinz was the general contractor at N. Powellhurst Elementary School responsible for replacing one cast iron boiler and adding two new Smith cast iron sectional boilers, including new pumps, equipment skid, new boiler venting, and hydronic piping. We also added hydronic piping in the tunnels for new heating coils and equipment. We also demoed the old chimney and replaced with the new vent stack.

CCC Student Services Center

Project Description: Heinz Mechanical took on both plumbing and mechanical scope for the new CCC Welcome Center. This building will be the new face of the college, offering a new experience for both new and current students. The plumbing consisted of DWV, domestic water, gas piping, and numerous plumbing fixtures. For the mechanical side we installed radiant heat, chilled water, heating water, and refrigerant piping. Heinz Mechanical was also responsible for the duct work and mechanical equipment which included boilers, fan coils, a split system, chiller, and a DOAS/RTU.

Portland State University

Project Location: Portland OR
Project Description: New evapco 1900 ton Cooling tower installed at Portland State University in 2012. Heinz was the general contractor on this project and responsible for structural and architectural steel, structural upgrades, and mechanical piping.

Linfield University

Project Location: McMinnvile OR
Project Description: Heinz Mechanical Industries upgraded the hydronic system that supplied six of the dorms at Linfield College in McMinnvile. We also installed circuit setters to help regulate the flow of the heating system.

PNCA Rooftop Heat Pumps

Project Location: Portland OR
Project Description: Heinz Mechanical Industries installed the heat pumps as part of the multi city HVAC System. This is the PNCA Building located in Portland, Oregon. We were also responsible for re-plumbing the entire building. We were involved with a composite crew to install the two huge HVAC air handling units.

Oregon Zoo Boiler Room

Project Location: Portland OR
Project Description: Heinz Mechanical Industries was responsible for all the plumbing and mechanical systems for the new Elephant Lands at the Oregon Zoo. This included the elephant heaters in the shade structures, boilers, plumbing for the new pools and water cannons, air handling units.

Ron Tonkin Field

Project Location: Hillsboro OR
Project Description: Heinz Mechanical Industries was responsible for all the plumbing and mechanical at the Hillsboro Hops Stadium in Hillsboro. This is an example of a shower room rough-in. We also completed the team rooms, concession stands, heating and cooling splits, new water heaters, and drainage systems.

PCC Rock Creek Weld Shop

Project Description: Heinz Mechanical had the plumbing and mechanical scope at the PCC Rock Creek Weld Shop. The plumbing scope included replacing domestic water, waste, vent, compressed air piping and installing piping to new weld booths for 6 different gases. For our mechanical scope, we replaced 2 make-up air units and all ductwork serving the weld shop.
